General Notes: Husband - Solomon Brake

He remained on the homestead, owned 400 acres of valuable land, and made some fine improvements over the years. A part of the house in which he resided was built of hewed logs, and was erected by a Mr. McConnell over 100 years before. It was very old fashioned, but perfectly sound and well constructed. He eventually retired from active business, had his work done by hired hands, and rented out on shares.
