General Notes: Husband - Conrad Frank
He was born in Germany and came to America in his youth, first locating in Baltimore, Maryland. Shortly after settling in Baltimore he removed to Chester County, Pennsylvania, where he was married. He served in the Revolutionary War, his service being "that of a private soldier on the roll of Captain Jacob Ashmead's company in the Second Regiment of Pennsylvania, commanded by Colonel W. Stewart, September 8, 1778" (see volume 15, Pennsylvania Archives, second series, page 414). After the close of the Revolution and prior to 1787, he and his family removed to Somerset County, Pennsylvania, and lived in a section formerly known as the "Glades," about seven miles southeast of Somerset town. He lived to be ninety-six years old.
