General Notes: Husband - Jacob L. Long

He was reared in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he resided for a number of years, and also made his home for a time in Indiana County, but beginning in 1872 lived in St. Petersburg, Clarion County. For ten years he followed the blacksmith's trade, but later he was interested in the oil business. He was honored with a number of official positions, serving as constable for ten years, tax collector, and superintendent of the water works. He also held office while living in Westmoreland and Indiana counties.
