General Notes: Husband - Michael Earhart

He was born in the house in which he still resided in adulthood, which was situated about one and a half miles south of Adamsburg, Pennsylvania. He gained his education at the local public schools. After his marriage, which occurred when he was twenty-five years of age, he purchased the whole of the old farm, and he came to own one hundred and eight acres in all. About 1898 he added considerably to the old house, and in 1876 built a fine modern barn. His property was one of those under which coal was discovered, and this he sold at the rate of one hundred dollars per acre, about 1897. For a long time he carried on active farming operations there, but later retired in favor of his son, John. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Arona.
