General Notes: Husband - George Young Stright
He came to Deer Creek in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, in 1792, and located on the farm later occupied by his grandson, Frank Billig. In 1824 he built the first saw mill in that section, while in 1830 he erected a grist mill near by. This mill contained a large overshot wheel twenty-four feet in diameter and which operated two sets of mill stones. After his death this entire property with two hundred and forty acres of land passed to his daughter and finally to her only son, Frank Billig.
