General Notes: Husband - John Boyle


He was born in the north of Ireland, and there received the rudiments of his education. He was still a child when he came to America in 1795 with his parents, and his education was completed in this country. He was an especially fine scholar in Latin, Greek and German. He also studied the higher mathematics, and fitted himself successfully for the profession of surveying, and was considered the best educated man in Butler County, Pennsylvania. He owned a farm in Worth township, taught for many years, and was for many years a surveyor. A Democrat in political matters, and a Seceder in religion.
