General Notes: Husband - Joseph Bygate


He followed weaving for a livelihood in England and in 1853 came to Pennsylvania where he located at Monongahela City, Washington County. He worked in a paper mill at that place until 1864, then removed to West Newton, Westmoreland County, where he remained for twenty-four years, and in 1888 went to Scottdale. He was a republican and a member of the M. E. church.
