General Notes: Husband - John McPherson

---

He was born and reared in Centre County, Pennsylvania. As a young man he went to Curwensville, Clearfield County, and learned the tanner's trade, which he followed later at Luthersburg and Clearfield.
He was a leader of the local Democratic party, and he served two terms as treasurer of Clearfield County.
