General Notes: Husband - Harold Reno Prather
After marriage, he bought a small farm in Dempseytown, PA, and did truck farming and raised outstanding flowers. At the same time he worked as a driller in various oil fields in that area as well as in Michigan and Wyoming. He maintained his home in Dempseytown until all his children had finished school. Then he and his wife went to Florida where he eventually built a service station on the Tamiami Trail and called it NYPANO (New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio). He leased it in summers and came north finally selling it. He bought a small farm near Guys Mills, PA, and did truck farming and raised bees and sold the produce at the Farmer's Market in Meadville.
