General Notes: Husband - John A. Line
He completed his education by taking a short course at Good Hope Academy and in White Hall Academy, near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Shortly after marriage, he and his wife settled in West Pennsborough Township, Cumberland County, and had a fine farm of 82 acres of fertile and well-improved land. Mrs. Line was a consistent member of the Lutheran Church. Mr. Line, at first a Republican in politics, was later a Prohibitionist. He served his township in various official positions. He took a thorough course in civil engineering and did a large business as surveyor in Cumberland County.
