General Notes: Husband - Joseph Brinton Jacobs
He was a prominent citizen of his county [Chester County, Pennsylvania?], was a stanch Whig and was always identified with the old Whig and later Republican party. He was highly honored by his fellow citizens, and was elected to several of the township offices. In 1835 he was elected county treasurer, and served two years. He lived in Chester Valley.

She was a descendant of John Bowen, of Whiteland, Chester County, Pennsylvania, who died in 1715.
