General Notes: Husband - Israel Rody Blose

He spent his youth in Delmont, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and there learned the trade of millwright, his father being a prominent miller of that section, no doubt influencing his selection of that trade, which then was a most profitable one. He traveled a great deal in pursuit of his trade, met his later wife in McKeesport, married and there settled. He continued working at his trade for several years after marriage, then became superintendent of machinery in the W. D. Wood steel mill, holding that position until his death. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, and of the Masonic Order, his wife was also a Presbyterian. In politics he was a Democrat.
