General Notes: Husband - John R. Pollock
He was born in County Down, Ireland, and immigrated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1832, where he worked for the firm of May & Andrew, of Pittsburgh, for ten years. He then moved to Butler County, and purchased a farm in Centre township, upon which he resided down to his death. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church, and in politics, a Democrat. He held several of the offices in his township at different periods.
He was the father of thir-teen children, two of whom died in infancy. The source does not make clear which children came from which wife.
