General Notes: Husband - James Blair
He was born in the north of Ireland, where he was reared and secured the education afforded by the schools of that time and place. At the age of seventeen he came to the United States, settling in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he remained for about three years. He then located in the oil fields of the Lehigh Valley, entering the employ of George K. Anderson, who was engaged in the oil business. His next employment was with the Rynd Farm Oil Company, located near Oil City, later was employed with the firm of Murphy & Davis, oil operators of Bradford, Pennsylvania, who were then conducting operations in McKean County, and subsequently went to Duke Center, where he had charge of pumping wells.
He was brought up in the Presbyterian faith, but in later life became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. He was a Republican in politics, but took no active part in public affairs.
He died when about seventy-six years old.
General Notes: Wife - Elizabeth Glenn
She was born in Ireland, and came to America when about six years of age. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
