General Notes: Husband - James Blair
He received his early educational training in the district schools of Porter township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, and was a farmer during the entire period of his active career. He was the owner of a finely improved farm of two hundred acres, located five miles distant from the village of New Bethlehem. In addition to diversified agriculture he was interested in breeding Shorthorn and Jersey cattle, and Poland China and Berkshire hogs. In earlier years he bred Percheron horses. Mr. Blair resided on his farm from 1870 until 1907, when he moved to Cottage Hill.
In politics Mr. Blair was a stalwart Republican. He and his wife were devout members of the Presbyterian church, in which faith they reared their children.
