General Notes: Husband - George H. Cole
He acquired his education in the public schools of Evans City, Pennsylvania, by private tuition, and through a special course in the International Correspondence School. From the time he was fifteen years of age he was in business with his brother until 1918. He had established a bakery, restaurant and confectionery concern, which they sold that year to Mr. Scott, a brother-in-law. Then, from 1918 to 1920, he was at Ellwood City with the Tube Company, and from 1920 until 1922 he was connected with the Harmony Route Railroad. In the latter year he was appointed by President Harding as postmaster of Evans City.
Mr. Cole was a Republican in politics. He was a member of Harmony Lodge, No. 429, Free and Accepted Masons; Lorraine Commandery, Knights Templar, at Butler; New Castle Consistory; and Knights of Pythias, of which he was Past Chancellor. In religion he belonged to the Presbyterian Church, of which he was an elder.
