General Notes: Husband - Alexander Blair

He was born and reared in Ireland and came to the United States about the year 1780. He located in Butler County, Pennsylvania, and after marriage settled on a farm on Sugar creek, in that county. Subsequently he went to Kittanning, Armstrong County, where he was deputy sheriff for a couple of terms. In 1825 he bought a farm in Porter township, Clarion County. This estate comprised about two hundred acres, with but five acres cleared. Mr. Blair immediately erected a number of buildings on his place and, after clearing off the timber, engaged in agricultural pursuits.

He and his wife had seven children.
