General Notes: Husband - James H. Kee

He received a common school education and at the age of sixteen learned the stove moulding trade. This calling he followed for some time, was then engaged in the butcher business and for several years filled the position of stationery engineer. In November, 1884, he went to Larimer, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and became clerk in the store of J. O. Blackburn, where he remained six or seven years. He then moved to Duffs Post Office (Ardara Station) and opened a general store. He several times held the office of township auditor. He belongs to Irwin Lodge, No. 44, Wilmerding Camp, the Modern Woodmen, No. 6859, and held the rank of past commander in the United American Order of Junior Mechanics. His politics were Republican, and he was a member of the United Presbyterian church, in which for three years he served as president of the board of trustees.
