General Notes: Husband - Abraham Eagly
He wrote his surname "Eagly", but later generations added another letter by writing it "Eagley".
He and his wife were natives of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, who came to Erie County, in October, 1803, taking up 325 acres of land, which he and his sons cleared and improved. He reared a family of eight children, four were still living in 1884.
He removed to Erie County, Pennsylvania, and settled in Springfield township in 1803, under the auspices of the Harrisburg and Presque Isle Land company.
