General Notes: Husband - Luther A. Black
He received his early education in the Rural Hill school, and continued at work on the home place until 1879, at which time he was married. For three years he resided near the Lawrence Furnace, but in 1882 moved to another place, there erecting fine buildings on the property. He followed general farming, and has met with much success.
Politically, Mr. Black was a Republican. In religious attachment he was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
