General Notes: Husband - Joshua T. Black
He was educated in the common schools, and soon after attaining his majority he purchased the old homestead, upon which he had resided since his birth. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church, and politically, he a Republican. He served multiple terms as justice of the peace, and was recognized as one of the representative citizens of his community.
