General Notes: Husband - Hon. Andrew Krause Black
He was educated in the public schools of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and learned the trade of bricklayer and builder. He served as a member of the Select and Common Council of the city of Harrisburg, and for several years was one of the inspectors of the Dauphin County prison. He represented the county in the Legislature in 1871 and 1872, and under the Constitution of 1874 represented the city of Harrisburg in that body in 1877 and 1878.
