General Notes: Husband - John Bitner


He came to America with his father and brother, Abraham, and they first located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. On reaching his majority he moved to Centre County, where he followed the trade of shoemaking, later engaging in farming. He was a member of the Mennonite Church, and a Democrat in politics.
