General Notes: Husband - Charles Craig
He was first lieutenant of Captain Miller's company, Colonel William Thompson's battalion of riflemen at Boston, 1775, promoted captain in November, 1775; later was captain in the First Pennsylvania Regiment, Continental Line, and received a wound in the battle of Brandywine, September 11, 1782. In the summer of 1782 shot himself, leaving a widow and one child (see an account of his deliberate suicide in Biddle's Autobiography, note to page 172).
