He remained on the farm until after his parents died, when he removed to Butler County, PA, and entered the employ of Robert J. Phipps. He worked in the various oil fields for some years, living at Franklin and in Crawford County, and eventually returning to Franklin, where he was residing in 1919. [CAB, 1066]
