General Notes: Husband - John R. Pollock

He was born in County Down, Ireland, and immigrated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1832, where he worked for the firm of May & Andrew, of Pittsburgh, for ten years. He then moved to Butler County, and purchased a farm in Centre township, upon which he resided down to his death. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church, and in politics, a Democrat. He held several of the offices in his township at different periods.
He was the father of thirteen children, two of whom died in infancy. The source does not make clear which children came from which wife.
