General Notes: Husband - Samuel Heasley

near Manor, Westmoreland Co, PA

At the age of thirteen he entered the service of the Pennsylvania Gas Company. Thenceforth for thirty-five years he was continuously employed by them. At the end of his long period of service Mr. Heasley, being in circumstances to do so, retired from business. He had acquired considerable property, the care of which occupied much of his time after retirement. He was a faithful Republican and for a number of terms he held the office of road supervisor of Hempfield township. He and his family were members of the Methodist Episcopal church.
