Funeral services were held Monday Nov. 23, from the William N. Rupert Funeral Home in Knox for Mrs. Rosa C. Dittman, 73, of RD 1, Knox, who died Friday, Nov. 20, in the Oil City Hospital following a short illness.
She was born February 4, 1897, in Callensburg, a daughter of John and Rosa Exley Berlin. She had lived her entire life in the Knox area except from 1940 to 1950, when she lived in Limestone, N.Y., and was employed in defense work at Bradford Motor Works.
She and Charles C. Dittman were married May 12, 1918. He died May 31, 1969.
Mrs. Dittman was a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ at Monroe.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Homer (Idea Mae) Henry of Knox RD 1; two sons, Neil E. and James J. Dittman of Knox RD 1; 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Fye of Knox RD 2 and Mrs. Raymond Switzer of Knox RD 1; two brothers, Samuel L. Berlin of Knox RD 1 and Wayne E. Berlin of Bradford, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Eileen Johnson, died February 15, 1960. Two brothers, William and Charles Berlin, also are deceased.
Rev. Eli Fabian, pastor of St. Mark United Church of Christ, officiated at the service.
Interment followed in St. Mark Cemetery at Monroe.
The family requests persons wishing to make a memorial to donate to St. Mark United Church of Christ or their favorite charity.
