Charles A. Harrison
Charles Alexander Harrison, a for-
mer well known citizen of Forest
county, died at the family home at 6½
Jackson avenue, Warren, Pa., at 7:30
o'clock Sunday morning, March 21,
1925, at the age of 58. He had been ill
but two weeks and was at work up to
within a week of his passing away,
death being caused by an affection of
the heart and kidneys.
Mr. Harrison was the son of Joseph
Lee and Jennie Porter Harrison, and
was born March 10, 1867, in Green
Township, Forest county. He was
reared to manhood there and with the
exception of a few months spent in
Pittsburgh and the last two years in
Warren, his whole life was spent on
the farm on Youngk Hill.
Mr. Harrison was known as one of
the most industrious citizens of the
community, where he was engaged in
farming and lumbering. He was
highly esteemed by all who knew him
and his passing will be regretted by a
large circle of friends. During his
residence in Warren he was employed
in a furniture factory. In his church
relationship he was a consistent mem-
ber of the Methodist Episcopal church.
He was affiliated with the Warren
lodge of the Knights of the Klu Klux
Klan.
On December 25, 1891, in Tionesta,
he was united in marriage with Miss
Maggie Bingman, who survives him.
Two children were born to them, one
son, Leslie C. Harrison, of Manor, Pa.,
surviving. Two sisters also survive:
Mrs. Ella Lusher, of Chanute, Kan.,
and Mrs. Nellie Slater, of Leeper, Pa.
Funeral services in his memory were
held at the family home at 7:30 o'clock
Tuesday evening, Rev. C. W. Winch, of
the First Evangelical church, officiat-
ing. The body was brought to Tionesta
on the 10:34 train Wednesday morning
and services were held at 11 o'clock
in the Methodist Episcopal church, the
pastor, Rev. E. D. Hulse, officiating.
Interment was made in Mt. Collins
cemetery.
