General Notes: Husband - Frederick Bensinger
He and his brothers removed to Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, prior to the Revolutionary War, settling in Brunswick township, in a valley which became known as "Bensinger's Valley," and were the first settlers in that locality.
He served in the Revolutionary War, as did his two brothers. Their names appear in a list of Berks County militia, under head Continental Line, depreciative pay, as privates (Penn. Archives, fifth series, vol. iv., p. 255).
