General Notes: Husband - William Foster Gallagher

He was born on the farm his grandfather settled on when he came to America in 1810. He obtained his education in the subscription schools, and then turned his attention to farming, later purchasing the homestead farm from his father, where he resided all his life, seventy-five years. He was a Presbyterian in religion, and a staunch Republican in politics.
