General Notes: Husband - Samuel Myers

He was reared on his father's farm, and then came to Butler County, Pennsylvania, where he married. He resided for a time in Lancaster township, on a farm of 100 acres of land given him by his father-in-law, and afterwards purchased 150 acres in Connoquenessing township. Here he engaged in farming to the time of his death. He and his wife were members of the Lutheran church, in which denomination he filled the offices of deacon and elder. He was a soldier in the War of 1812. Politically, he was a Republican.
