General Notes: Husband - Solomon Rhodes
In early life he was a miller, but later in life owned and operated a farm. He was a soldier of the War of 1812, and in 1818 crossed the mountains and became a resident of Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, buying a farm in North Beaver township, where he lived until his death at the age of sixty-two years. [BOBLC, 133 & 236] That he was a soldier at age eleven seems unlikely [a drummer-boy?] The same source states that he was married in 1828 in Lancaster County and that at least some of his children were born there and were brought to Lawrence County while young, suggesting a much later date for his migration west.
He and his wife had eight children.
