General Notes: Husband - William Bell

He came to Butler County, PA, with his father when about eight years old. He grew to manhood in Washington township, and served in the War of 1812. After marriage they settled in this township, and lived and died upon the old homestead, which later became the property of their son Alexander. They were among the original members of the United Presbyterian church, at Mt. Vernon.
