General Notes: Husband - William Bell
This is an old Scotch-Irish family who fled from Londonderry, Ireland, to Scotland, during the religious persecution. From Scotland they emigrated to New Jersey, where William, the first pioneer of the name, located.
About 1837 he settled on 200 acres along Paxton Creek in Paxton Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania (later Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County) about two miles from the city limits of Harrisburg.
