Jay D. Berlin
Jay D. Berlin, 69, of Cape Coral, Fla., formerly of Oil City, died Thursday in Cape Coral.
Born December 5, 1922, in Oil City, he was a son of the late Arch F. and Mary A. Sandrock Berlin.
He married the former Glo­ria J. Peters on September 30, 1965, and she survives. The Berlins moved from Oil City to Florida approximately seven years ago.
Mr. Berlin worked as a plumber for Carson and Eckert Plumbing.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the Navy in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters.
Mr. Berlin was a member of the Oil City Elks, VFW, Eagles and K of. C. He was a former member of St. Stephen Church.
Surviving are a son, Jay G. Babcock of Nickleville; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Linda L.) Krug of Seneca and Pamela K. Neal of Oil City; a brother, Dale Berlin of Rocky Grove, a sister, Alice Gold of Oil City; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Stack.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Monday in the Morrison Funeral Home. A vigil service will be held there at 4 pm.
A funeral mass will be cele­brated at 10 am Tuesday in St. Stephen Church.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
