General Notes: Husband - Arthur A. Bell

Greenwood Twp, Clearfield Co, PA - a farmer

He attended the country schools in Greenwood township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, besides one term at Lumber City. He then became associated with his father in the timber business. After his marriage he settled on a part of the homestead farm and lived there until 1906, when he moved to another farm which contained 150 acres, one-half of which was still in woodland. He was interested also in 1,200 acres of coal land in Greenwood township. Mr. Bell improved his place with substantial buildings and carried on general farming and stock raising.
He was reared in the Baptist church. In politics he was a Republican but was never willing to accept public office. He was actively interested, however, in all agricultural movements and for a number of years was a leader in the Grange.
