General Notes: Husband - Joseph Bell


He and his wife emigrated to the United States in 1849, settling at Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania, where they resided during the remainder of their lives.
He was a man of more than ordinary intelligence, who was much interested in botany, the various branches of horticulture; also politics, and was elected by his neighbors to several public offices.
