He attended school in DuBois, Pennsylvania, and left the High School of that place to go to Kiskiminetas Springs School at Saltsburg. He graduated from "Kiski" in 1903, in the autumn of that year he entered Princeton University. He had successfully passed through three years in that institution and was ready to go back for his Senior year, when, in August, 1906, he fell, a victim of appendicitis.
