General Notes: Husband - Jesse Hunter

He was born at the old Hunter homestead, and there spent his active life a prosperous farmer. Later in life he moved to Greensburg, Pennsylvania, where he ended his days. He was a life long member of the Presbyterian church, and from May 10, 1862, when he was elected ruling elder, until 1885, he served the congregation in that capacity. In 1885 he transferred his membership to Reunion Church of Mt. Pleasant, and on January 23, 1887, was elected an elder of that congregation, serving until his removal to Greensburg in the autumn of 1891. There he joined Westminster Presbyterian Church at its organization, December 3, 1891, and served as elder from that date until his death. He was many times elected to represent his church in the State Synod, and in 1876 was chosen as commissioner from his synod to the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church held in Brooklyn, New York.
