Mrs. Mabel Bell
CLARION — Mrs. Mabel Bell, 74, of 56 Grand Ave., Clarion, died at 12:05 Thursday in the Grandview Extendicare Center in Clarion.
Born August 2, 1905, in Paint Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of Charles A. and Minnie Willis Herman. She was married June 24, 1928; to Clark Leroy Bell. He survives.
Mrs. Bell was a 1926 graduate of the Clarion Normal School, now Clarion State College. She was a charter member of the Clarion State College Alumni Association.
She taught in the Beaver Township Schools in Clarion County following her graduation.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Clark Bell Jr. of North Bergen, N. J. and Tay Allyn Bell of Clarion.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Glen (Viva) Hartzell of Duke Center and Mrs. Melvin (Kathryn) Meyer of Clarion; and two brothers, Charles F. Herman of Clarion and John E. Herman of Kenner, La.; and two grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William; and a sister.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the Gerald L. Goble Funeral Home in Clarion.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am tomorrow at the funeral home.
Rev. William Kemp, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, will officiate at the services.
Burial will be in Clarion Cemetery.
