Private funeral services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon in memory of Mrs. Rachel L. Bell, widow of Charles Harvey Bell, and a pioneer resident of Rockland township, who died at the home of her son, I. O. Bell, at Rockland Saturday afternoon. Rev. W. B. Allison, pastor of the Rockland Methodist Church, officiated, and bur­ial was made in the Rockland Ceme­tery.
Mrs. Bell's death followed a six weeks' illness. She was born in Rock­land on September 28, 1856, a daughter of Isaac and Anna Smith Osmer.
