Churchtown, Lancaster Co, PA

He was a descendant of Johannes Heinrick Zell, who came from Holland to America in 1684, and whose father Johannes Heinrich Zell, founded the city of Zell, in Baden on the river Wiese, and in 1690 organized out of the veterans of the 30 years war the Zell Guards, later the 4th Infantry which was always commanded by a Zell.
