Walter Bell Of Tionesta Succumbs
Walter C. Bell, of Tionesta RD 1 died at 6:15 am yesterday in Grandview Convalescent Home, where he had been a patient since November.
Born Feb. 19, 1890 in Rockland, he was a son of Samuel and Sophia McCauley Bell. On Feb. 24, 1915, he married the former Pearl Rubena Walters who preceded him in death in January 1935.
Mr. Bell was an oil lease worker by trade and worked on leases throughout the district. He moved to Tionesta in 1971, making his home with a daughter until entering the nursing facility.
Surviving are one daughter, Iva Anderson, Tionesta RD 1; one son, Earl Bell of Seneca; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also sur­vive.
A son, Robert Bell, died in 1972 and he was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and William Bell, and a sister, Mrs. Laura Green.
The body is at the Charles A. Morrison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Ron Chitester of the Washington Methodist Church, Frills Corners, of­ficiating.
Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.
