General Notes: Husband - Thomas Bell
From 1780 to 1782 he served in the militia under Captain Robert Means and Lieutenant John Bell (his nephew). His brother, Arthur, was in the same company. Thomas was not married in 1786 when his father's farm was sold. He migrated to Stone Valley, Barree Township, Huntingdon County, with his brother, Arthur, in 1787. Thomas Bell was assessed in Barree 1788-1799 as a freeman; 1800-1814 as a carpenter. He was a member of the Barree militia 1788-1791. He married about 1800; the name of his wife is not known.
His name disappears from the tax lists after 1814. This is probably the date of his death, although there is no proof.
