General Notes: Husband - James Harris
He had not yet attained his majority when he came to Union County, Pennsylvania, and the greater part of his life was spent there in farming. In his later years he bought property in Lewisburg, where he passed away. He was nearly six feet tall, and of slender build, and in disposition he was active, making a success of his own business affairs and taking an influential part in the local movements of his time. In politics he was first a Whig, and later a Republican, and he served ably in various township offices. He and his wife were both devout members of the Presbyterian Church.
