She "was born on the old homestead, and spent her life there, living with her brother Elijah. She assisted many of the family in their work and lives, going when and where duty called, although never very strong. She had a quiet, pleasant manner which attracted many to her. Like all this family, she lived a true christian life, and while not a long one, yet her life was not measured by years. It was, by many kind deeds, a long life."
