North Mahoning, Indiana Co, PA

He removed from New Jersey to Indiana County, Pennsylvania, and, purchasing a tract of land near Covode, cleared and improved a farm, which he made his home until his death.

Civil War: He served in company A, 105th regiment Pennsylvania volunteers during the war of 1861, for nine months. He was discharged for disability, and became a pensioner. He also served in the regular army, being stationed at the Pittsburgh Arsenal. He served for five terms as road supervisor of one district.

She often assisted her husband in the fields.
