General Notes: Husband - Philip Beisecker


He learned and worked at the shoemaker's trade in Bavaria, coming to the United States in 1846 and settling at Buffalo, New York. Later he located in Warren, Pennsylvania, where he estab­lished a shoe store, becoming one of the suc­cessful merchants of the city. He also con­ducted a grocery store and acquired consider­able Warren real estate. He was an accom­plished musician and organized in Warren “Beisecker's Band,” the first brass band in the city. He was a member of the Lutheran church, the Independent Order of Odd Fel­lows, and in politics was a Democrat.

She came to the United States in 1840 with her parents.
