General Notes: Husband - Samuel Bell
He was four years old when his parents moved from Clarion County to Butler County, PA, and his home thereafter was in Allegheny Township, where he followed farming for a number of years, devoting himself exclusively to this industry. He obtained excellent returns from his land and was one of the township's most progressive agriculturists. He secured a good public school education in what was known as the Campbell School. Mr. and Mrs. Bell were members of the Associate Presbyterian Church, at Eau Claire. Like his father, he was always a Democrat and on the Democratic ticket he was elected road commissioner, one of the most important of the local offices in farming districts. [HBC 1909, 1313]
